What makes St Kitts fun is it's laid back style, culture and attitude. This can take a couple of days to getting used to when we are so used to having things done so promptly.

Restaurants.
Our favourites include.

The Beach House, Turtle Beach

.
Perfect for long lunches with views over the turquoise sea to Nevis, based on Turtle Beach . Dinner menus to die for from Executive Chef George Reid, not the cheapest on the island, but still one of the best. Forms part of the Christophe Harbour projects for the South penninsula. Telephone 869 469 5299 INFO@STKITTSBEACHHOUSE.COM

The Spice Mill, Cockleshell Bay

New to the island but such a fabulous location, situated on another sandy beach called Cockeshell bay. Roger Brisbane's passion for this new beach bar/restaurant will go far, as will the food, again great views over Nevis.
Telephone 869 469 6455 info@spicemillrestaurant.com

Reggae Reggae, Cockleshell Bay.
Used to be based at Turtle Beach, now at Cockleshell Bay, great party place run by Gary Pereira. The main attractions apart from the location and the food are Wilbur the pig and Sundays include live music. Food informal, burgers, ribs, local fish etc.

Serendipity, Basseterre.
Pauline couldn't be further from Doncaster where her routes are from, but its another favourite of ours. Situated in an elevated position overlooking Basseterre, the food is to die for, my favourite are lobster or local fish, as well as the steaks are best on the island.
Telephone 869 465-9999  info@serendipitystkitts.com

Circus Grill, Basseterre.
Situated in the bustling circus area of Basseterre, near all the shops. Best Rum punch on the island served by Ellis, the best bartender on the island. Fabulous for lunch or dinner, food is eclectic and includes Roti's, burgers, local fish, and the local speciality is goats water. Telephone 869 465 0143  cater@thecircusgrill.com

Ballahoo, Basseterre.
Opposite the Circus, great place to people watch. Breakfast is often our favourite  info@ballahoo.com

Marshalls, Frigate Bay.
Described as a formal Dining experience, and I would probably agree. Ask for a sea view rather than pool view. Food specialities include Lobster, Steaks and local fish. Definately suitable for the special occassions. Telephone 869 466 8245   Info@Marshalls-StKitts.com

Geat place to watch the sun go down. Meet some of the real characters of the ex pat community and play till the early hours. Thursday is a good night by the fire on the beach, foods good as well, try the jerk chicken or lobster. Telephone 869-762-3983

High end luxury with some fabulous wines, New York steaks, Tenderloins and more. Dress code smart/casual no jeans. Telephone 869 466 1200

Golf

Royal St Kitts. Frigate Bay.

14th at the Royal St Kitts

18 championship holes opened on November 8th 2004. The magnificent layout has 125 irrigated acres of lush grass allowing golfers to play (2) full holes on the Caribbean Sea and (3) complete holes on the Atlantic Ocean.  The redesign was done by famed Canadian architect Thomas McBroom from Toronto, Canada.  The first 9-holes and the beautiful new "private country club" style clubhouse opened for play in November 2003.

The course plays as a 18-hole, Par 71 course at 6,900 yards from the back tees.  This extraordinary layout boasts water hazards on 10 holes, 80 bunkers and a multitude of coconut palm trees along the Atlantic Ocean. Telephone 869-466-2700  info@royalstkittsgolfclub.com

Diving

Pro-Divers, Basseterre.

This is my preferred Dive company, privately owned by Auston who is half Scottish & half Turks & Caicos islands, wife Margot . Many dive sites to choose from and due to no or small currents tends to be a safe island to dive from. For the novice he runs snorkel trips to Nevis. Telephone 869 466-3483

Days Out

Gregs Safari

Greg's family has been here forever and knows everything about the island, but more importantly he knows about the eco system of the Island. His trips up in to the Rain Forest are a must and are even child friendly. Not yet been to the Volcano but may be next trip. Telephone 869 465 4121

Leeward Island Charters, situated at Ballahoo, Basseterre.
